We are hiring a Consultant Scrum Master to join the Leeds team.

Ability to work in the UK, both remote or on customer sites when required.

As part of the Project Delivery function, we expect:

  • You will be experienced in a Scrum Master role, likely having practised for at least 2 years, coaching cross functional teams
  • Evidence of strong focus on achieving customer outcomes
  • You will have proven experience facilitating and assessing, understanding, and navigating team dynamics towards building and maintaining a high-performance team
  • Experience of consultancy or external delivery for customers
  • Hands-on attitude and can shift quickly between running large-scale projects, coordinating operational processes and managing a crisis when needed
  • Experience in running non-tech teams in Scrum
  • Ability to manage multiple scrum teams if required
  • Experience working within multiple teams, often remotely
  • You are comfortable working autonomously, with little oversight
  • Experience in fast-paced, innovation environments such as FMCG, Retail or Ecommerce
  • At least 1 recognised Agile delivery certification
  • Effective communication of agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model and build trust with key stakeholders
  • Ability to assist the team in assessing and evolving their ‘Scrum Maturity’, to ensure the team is always operating effectively
  • Facilitation of regular Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily-Standup, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Foster agile best practices and a culture of relentless improvement among the scrum team and the development organisation as a whole
  • Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across the organisation particularly around success metrics on the product development
  • Daily follow-ups with individual team members to remove impediments/blockers for the scrum team
  • Protect scrum team and maintain focus on backlog and sprint timeline
  • Work with our business and our customers to escalate problems encountered on/among the scrum team as necessary; help remove impediments to progress
  • Act as Project Manager when necessary to support coordinated, high profile activity within the businesses
  • You thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments such as FMCG, Retail or Ecommerce
  • Experience working within multiple teams, often remotely
  • You’re comfortable with working autonomously, with little oversight

  • Be Customer champion – When we engage with customers, we put ourselves in that business, understanding what makes it tick and how it works both culturally and organisationally. By doing so we can deliver the best approach for the customer
  • Prioritise against customer priorities. Customers are at our heart; we deliver what the customer needs through honest and strong working relationships. A customer may want something but after analysis may not need it, we should always talk to our customers openly about what alternatives are on the table.
  • Always provide options, we don’t use the word ‘cant’, there is always a plan B
  • Communicate – Keeping close to customers is key to our success, build strong working relationships to ensure we have an understanding at all business levels
  • Adaptive – if you have other skills and experience beyond your prescribed role and that will help the customer don’t be afraid to use them if it helps to achieve the customers’ goals

  • Leeds – Flexible working arrangements with the requirement to work from one of the Perform Partners offices in Leeds City Centre & Horsforth when required. Travel to and occasional working from a designated customer or prospective customers’ place of business may also be required.
