Carbon Reduction Plan

Updated: October 2026
Reporting year: 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026
Understanding our greenhouse gas emissions gives us a clear basis for deciding where we can make meaningful reductions.
Our 2025/26 greenhouse gas emissions assessment, completed by Carbon Neutral Britain in May 2026, recorded a total organisational carbon footprint of 24.62 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e). The assessment covers emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 and provides the baseline for our current Carbon Reduction Plan and future reduction targets.
Perform Partners is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Our Carbon Reduction Plan also sets an interim target to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030, measured against our 2025/26 baseline.
We will use regular emissions assessments to monitor our progress, understand where our environmental impact is greatest and prioritise practical opportunities to reduce emissions across our operations.
Perform Partners is also certified Carbon Neutral by Carbon Neutral Britain for July 2026 to June 2027, following the measurement and offsetting of organisational emissions within the defined Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions boundary.
Carbon offsetting forms part of our current approach, alongside our longer-term focus on reducing the emissions associated with our own activities.
Our assessment covers activities under the operational control of Perform Partners Ltd and considers direct and indirect emissions associated with our operations.
This includes purchased energy, homeworking, business travel, staff commuting, hotel stays, waste and deliveries. The assessment was completed using methodologies based on ISO 14064-1:2018 and the GHG Protocol Emissions Standards.
Emissions category | 2025/26 emissions |
|---|---|
Scope 1: Direct emissions | 1.32 tCO₂e |
Scope 2: Purchased energy emissions | 3.22 tCO₂e |
Scope 3: Other indirect emissions | 20.09 tCO₂e |
Total carbon footprint | 24.62 tCO₂e |
The assessment identified homeworking energy as our largest emissions source at 10.77 tCO₂e. Business travel contributed a further 4.85 tCO₂e, making this another important area for potential reductions.
Understanding where our emissions come from helps us focus our efforts on areas where practical changes can have the greatest impact.
Our Carbon Reduction Plan identifies opportunities to reduce avoidable emissions and improve the environmental impact of our operations.
Our priorities include reviewing business travel and considering lower-emission alternatives where practical, improving energy efficiency, making informed choices around travel and accommodation, and continuing to use remote and digital collaboration where this can reduce unnecessary journeys.
Homeworking remains an important part of the way we operate, while also representing a significant proportion of our measured footprint. We will therefore continue to improve the quality of our emissions data and use future assessments to understand where changes in working practices can contribute to our reduction targets.
The 2025/26 reporting period provides the baseline for our current Carbon Reduction Plan.
We intend to measure our emissions regularly, review the effectiveness of our reduction measures and update our priorities as our operations develop.
This approach will allow us to track progress against our baseline rather than treating carbon reporting as a one-off exercise.
Our Carbon Reduction Plan supports our commitment to responsible UK Government procurement and has been prepared with reference to Procurement Policy Note PPN 006, which sets out Carbon Reduction Plan requirements for suppliers bidding for relevant central government contracts.
