We are excited to have retained our Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation for the third year in a row, in a long-standing commitment to having the right security measures in place to protect us and our clients against cyber threats.

Cyber Essentials is a globally recognised, Government-backed scheme that helps businesses safeguard themselves against the most prevalent cyber attacks. While Cyber Essentials includes comprehensive security controls, Cyber Essentials Plus carries out a more stringent evaluation of an organisation’s security measures, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.

By retaining our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, we have continually proven that we have more robust security controls in place, giving our clients, partners and community a continued peace of mind.

There’s been a lot of work put in behind the scenes since obtaining recertification in 2022 together with the expansion of our primary office located in a shared building in Horsforth, Leeds. We have taken rigorous measures to ensure the security of our new two-story office and local network. As a result, we’ve incorporated & achieved accreditation as part of the overall Cyber Essentials Plus 2023 evaluation.

Mobile device management has recently been introduced for all Windows and Mac devices to facilitate centralised device control, management, and policy distribution. Additionally, this makes it easier to ensure that all software and operating systems are up-to-date and compliant at any given time. We can now analyse and run reports, which enables us to actively monitor our estate.

We have placed significant emphasis on implementing automation to streamline our processes. This has led to a reduction in the amount of IT administration involved in our roles, and we are now capable of deploying new machines immediately upon new hires joining the company. We have established partnerships with organisations that offer around-the-clock support. As a result, we now have zero-touch deployment capabilities. This now allows us to expand our business safely and securely.

In terms of all our internal applications, we have the right owners with the right controls and higher-level access. Group policies are now in place across all our estate for the different applications we use internally to work with our customers. We’ve also secured our network further, having implemented a set of the latest Zero Trust methodologies which help to keep our accounts and data secure at all times.

All these controls not only help us protect ourselves and our clients but would also allow us to grow and scale faster, with the right controls in place.
