Narrowing the digital divide and supporting digital inclusion with Leeds Community Foundation and the Leeds Digital Ball.

The first-ever Leeds Digital Charity Ball took place on the 28th of April 2022 with Perform Partners as official sponsors. This debut event highlighted the importance of digital inclusion and together with Leeds Community Foundation (LCF), we raised vital funds to narrow the digital divide.

Leeds Community Foundation, in 2022, invested £4m through more than 375 grants to Community Organisations that helped 58,000 people across our region. The funds raised from the Leeds Digital Ball were invested in sustainable, digital inclusion activities that will make a huge difference for communities across our city.

“Our aim is to promote digital inclusion, provide opportunity and drive positive change in the tech community.” –  Leeds Digital Ball

Rob Smith, Deb Hetherington and Stuart Clarke at the Leeds Digital Ball 2022The charity ball successfully raised over £60,000 to help improve access for disadvantaged people across the city. By bringing together more than 350 people from the tech community, we created the opportunity to talk about the causes of digital exclusion and raise funds to tackle the issue.

“We wholeheartedly echo the Leeds Digital Ball Charity’s purpose; ‘to drive positive change.’ It is why we are here, it’s what we do and, most importantly, it’s what we believe in.” – Perform Partners

We are proud to have supported such a fantastic cause, raised awareness, and created more opportunities for inclusivity across our region, to help tackle the digital divide.
